Most ASUS routers have the same configuration menu. However, if yours happens to be different, this guide should still help as most are quite similar.

Go to your browser and type the default gateway address: 192.168.1.1

Login with your credentials. Note that if you haven’t changed these, the default username and password is admin. If they are set to the default, change them ASAP.

Now, under advanced settings go to WAN

Scroll down to WAN DNS Settings. Make sure that the “Connect to DNS server automatically button” option is set to “no.” Once it is, add DNSWatch's DNS servers (54.174.40.213 / 52.3.100.184) in the two fields. When you are done, go to the bottom of the page and click apply.

 


 

TP-LINK

Most TP-Link routers have this same configuration menu, however if yours happens to be different, read anyways as they are probably very similar.

Go to your browser and type the default gateway address: 192.168.0.1

Login with your credentials, note that if you haven’t changed these, the default username and password is admin. If they are set to the default, change them ASAP.

Now, on the left go to Network, and then WAN.

Go down to the Primary and Secondary DNS fields and enter in the two DNSWatch DNS addresses (54.174.40.213 / 52.3.100.184). Make sure the “Use These DNS Servers” box is checked. Go to the bottom of the page and click save.

 


 

NETGEAR

Most NETGEAR routers have this same configuration menu. However, if yours happens to be different, this guide should still help as most are quite similar.

Go to your browser and navigate to RouterLogin.net.

Login with your credentials. Note that if you haven’t changed these, the default username is admin and the default password is password. If they are set to the default, change them ASAP.

Now, on the left go to Internet, and midway down the page is Domain Name Server (DNS) Address.

Underneath Domain Name Server (DNS) Address, select Use these DNS Servers and enter in the two DNSWatch DNS addresses (54.174.40.213 / 52.3.100.184). Go to the top of the page and hit apply.
